About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The Journal of Global Educational Innovation (JGEI) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to the dissemination of high-quality research that explores innovative approaches in education across the globe. The journal aims to bridge the gap between educational theory and practice, fostering a dialogue among scholars, practitioners, and policymakers.

JGEI welcomes empirical research articles, systematic literature reviews, and critical conceptual papers. The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to:

  • Educational Technology & Digital Learning

  • Curriculum & Instructional Innovation

  • Educational Management & Policy

  • Inclusive & Special Education

  • Teacher Professional Development

  • Global Perspectives in Education

Peer Review Process

Every manuscript submitted to JGEI is independently reviewed by at least two reviewers in the form of a "double-blind review". The decision for publication, amendment, or rejection is based upon their reports/recommendations. In certain cases, the editor may submit an article for review to another third reviewer before making a decision, if necessary.

Publication Frequency

JGEI is published three times a year (in April, August, and December).

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles published will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download.

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
